FastForward members receive pro bono legal support from DLA Piper, Saul Ewing, Venable and Whiteford Taylor Preston. These four Baltimore law firms provide each new Johns Hopkins-licensed company with 15 hours of corporate legal work to get them established and an additional five consultation hours about mutually agreed-upon subject matter.The firms also have on-site Legal Office Hours for FastForward members every month. Johns Hopkins Technology Ventures (JHTV) is the intellectual property administration center of the Johns Hopkins University. In addition to serving as the licensing, patent and technology commercialization office for Johns Hopkins researchers and inventors, JHTV also supports the growth of startup companies in and around the university and is an active liaison to parties interested in leveraging university research or materials for academic or corporate endeavors.
